About
Hello and welcome!
The journey to finding true health and ease of movement is not a simple one. But, it is one that I am passionate about. I truly want to help people achieve their fitness or movement goals, while taking the whole picture into consideration.
As a competitive karate athlete, I developed a strong understanding of the importance of movement and strength. However, along the way I also developed a multitude of improper movement patterns and musculoskeletal injuries. This led me onto my journey of being a Personal Trainer, for which I am very grateful. I emphasise deeply with those who have become frustrated with injuries, chronic pain or ‘niggles’ and are not seeing results with how they move.
I hold a Masters in Strength and Conditioning and I am a Certified Level 3 Personal Trainer. I have advanced training through the Postural Restoration Institute in Postural Respiration, Myokinematic Restoration and Pelvic Restoration. It is through this lens that I now see movement and work with clients, focusing on restoring quality motion at the level of the pelvis and ribcage, working from the internal to the external.
With these considerations in place, and a biomechanical-centred approach to movement, I believe that it is possible to restore the body, allowing you to pursue any movements you love and you want to begin, or return to.
I am also qualified to work with ante and post-natal clients, an animal Flow Instructor and have taken various courses under the Functional Range Systems – Functional Range Conditioning, Functional Range Assessments and Kinstretch. I have a devotion to lifelong learning in the field of movement – I want to devote my career to my clients, bringing the best out of each individual. I want to truly help you understand your body and give you back the quality movement that life has very often taken away.
